Brews on Bedford, presented by Stamford Downtown, returns on Saturday, May 18 from 2-5pm in Latham Park on Bedford Street featuring beer from 20+ breweries. Tickets on sale now through Afton . Guests can fill a sampling glass with beer from a variety of breweries from across the region, while enjoying live music with Ali and Nate, lawn games and food vendors including Avellino Family BBQ, Blind Rhino and Prospector Popcorn. Participating breweries include: Berlinetta Brewing, Best Friends Lunch, Brewery Collective, Captain Zig, Charter Oak Brewing Company, Counter Weight Brewing, Delta Seltzers, Devil’s Purse Brewing Company, Downeast Cider House, Elicit Brewing Company, Fishers Island Lemonade, Half Full Brewery, Nod Hill Brewery, Owl’s Brew, Quirk Works Brewing, Spacecat Brewery, Uncle Don’s Light, Whalers, White Lion Brewing, Wynk THC Seltzer and more. Get ready for an electrifying night with Friends of the Brothers at SHU Community Theatre on Saturday, April 27! 🎸🎢 Friends of the Brothers is the ultimate tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, featuring members deeply connected to the original group, carrying on the musical brotherhood with unmatched passion and dedication. Lead guitarist and vocalist Junior Mack, known for his work with Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band and Broadway's Lackawanna Blues, joins forces with guitarist Andy Aledort, who rocked with Dickey Betts and the Experience Hendrix tour. Author of the Allman Brothers biography "One Way Out," Alan Paul adds his guitar and vocals, bringing decades of insight into the band's legacy. Their performances dive into every era of the Allman Brothers, backed by seasoned musicians like drummers Dave Diamond and Lee Finkelstein, bassist Craig Privett, and keyboardist Mike Katzman. Special appearances often include Lamar Williams Jr., Peter Levin, and more, adding layers of authenticity and passion to the experience. “We're not just playing music; we're living it,” says Paul. “Our bond and respect for the Allman Brothers shape every note, capturing the essence and spirit that made them legendary since 1969.” Past Friends include talents like Eric Krasno, Tash Neal, and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, among others, making each show a celebration of rock history.
